MacDaily News Misses the Point

Last but not least, MacDaily News needs to get a serious clue and stop drinking the Apple kool-aid. I mean yes, Apple came out with some really cool stuff when it unleashed the iPhone on the masses but seriously, I have never read an article with so much fan-boyism in it. Read up on technology, work in an enterprise IT, or something before you go off on things you apparently do not understand.

The Web 2.0 Minority

Over the past couple of weeks I have had several conversations with co-workers and fellow geeks that I am personal friends with. That might not sound that unusual, but when you consider that, on more than several occasions I have had to explain the concept of Twitter, Digg, Mahalo, and other Web 2.0 companies and ideas, it starts to make sense why I bring this up.


Mahalo & Human Power Search

The idea that a search company could beat Google, is ludicrous at best. Google practically owns search. That does not mean they return the best results, however. In fact, sometimes you have to search two or three times to get the desired results. It has taken many a search for me to get to where I am in regards to search ability. But what if I could type in the exact thing I wanted and get a page of results dedicated to just that subject? That’s what Mahalo tries to do.


Another Missed iPhone SDK Opportunity

I was running a quick errand earlier this evening when something hit me.  Since the iPhone SDK does not allow developers to run code in the background (ie when music is playing), that means no one can create a Last.FM iPhone application that scrobbles what I listen to on an iPhone or iTouch.
