OpenDNS
Last night, I set up my router to use OpenDNS for it’s DNS. This means all DNS requests are going through OpenDNS now.
I did this for 2 reasons. The first is the phishing protection that comes with OpenDNS. I trust my wife to know what sites not to input information into, and she’s pretty smart and it is not usually a problem. However, any extra protection for both of us is great. Consider we have both been partial victims of fraud.
Also, I read this blog post on the OpenDNS website last night. Tomorrow (June 19) my Time Warner is suppose to become Comcast and I do not like being without internet for any reason. So anything that will help elevate the potential of that happening is definitely a plus in my book.
