Excerpt USA Today
http://www.usatoday.com/money/media/2007-02-26-sirius-usat_x.htm

"A plan to combine satellite radio providers Sirius (SIRI) and XM (XMSR) announced last week could bring customers more channels narrowly targeted for specific groups, says Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin.
"We'd like to add a Mandarin Chinese channel," says Karmazin, who is slated to be CEO of the combined company if the deal is approved by shareholders and regulators. "We have people who would like to have a Mormon Church channel." Karmazin on Monday discussed with USA TODAY media reporter Laura Petrecca what a merger would mean for consumers."

Not happy about Revolution getting cann'd either. Hope they put up another station like that when the sirius/xm merger is finalized. Lucky enough to have a station very similar to revolution in my town, m88. they broadcast via website at http://www.m88.org/. wrote sirius via their website about my dissapointment, they responded in timely fashion. lets let them know, hopefully they won't discount our demographic.

Bob,

You left two comments that said pretty much the same thing. I chose the lengthier one because it made your point better. I moderate all comments from new users as an added layer of spam protection. So sorry if you posted a second comment because you thought the first one did not go through.

In relation to the topic, I listened to other channels on Sirius before there was a Christian rock station so I just went back to listening to those. I have noticed a severe drop in my Sirius listening though.

I dropped my sirius subscription on Feb 16th and specifically told them why. They tried to sell me on Spirit but I explained to them that I payed my monthly fee for Christian rock and told them that I left XM for Sirius because they dropped their Christian Rock station (the Torch) last year. They specifically told me that the reactions of people are what will change their minds -- if at all. So far, it doesnt look like anyone cares.

I'm thinking of starting a list of people that want Revolution. If anyone is interested in helping, please send me an email (online (at) bibleboy *dot* org)

I agree. The real question is...are there enough Sirius subscribers listening that will drop their subscription if Sirius doesn't put Revolution back? That will definitely make them sit up and listen.
Money trumps everything and where the money goes...so do the hearts of American corporations.

Like everyone else, I agree. I went to go change the station to Revolution 5 minutes ago, and it came back, "invalid channel." I was not happy to find out that they took off the lineup. Ian has a good idea with calling Sirius and complaining. Hopefully enough people will and they'll bring it back. The other option is of course to pray about it.

I totally agree. I am so dissappointed about sirius doing this. I just found out today. We need to get as many people as possible to call sirius until they return it to the line up. What is this world coming to when they give Howard Stern a channel and remove the best channel they had. I am so mad, something must be done. We can't just accept this. Any ideas?

I agree Michael. I was really upset to see this channel go. I hope enough people complain to get it brought back.

Hi Michael. I live in the UK but was in Houston only last week. I see what you mean about no Christian Rock channels. I can't really help you but thought you'd be interested in a great new British Christian Rock band called The Response. You can sample their music at www.theresponse.co.uk . See what you think? Ian
